🥗 Chicken & Spinach Olive Oil Bowl

This chicken spinach olive oil bowl is proof that a protein-rich dinner doesn’t need to be heavy to be satisfying. Clean ingredients, gentle flavors and an elegant presentation make this bowl feel more like a restaurant plate than a typical meal prep.

Built around juicy grilled chicken, tender spinach and fluffy quinoa, everything is brought together with a subtle lemon herb sauce that adds freshness without overpowering the dish.

Why this bowl works so well

  • High-protein, light dinner
  • Mediterranean-inspired flavors
  • Realistic portion size
  • Elegant, restaurant-style plating
  • No heavy sauces or greasy finish

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • Fresh spinach, lightly sautéed
  • Cooked quinoa
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley or herbs
  • Salt & black pepper

How to assemble

Cook the quinoa until fluffy and let it cool slightly. Grill the chicken until golden and juicy, then slice into bite-size pieces. Quickly sauté the spinach with a splash of olive oil until just wilted.

Arrange the quinoa as a base in the bowl, add the chicken and spinach in separate sections, and finish with cherry tomatoes.

For the sauce, mix a small amount of olive oil with fresh lemon juice, salt, pepper and finely chopped herbs. Drizzle lightly over the bowl — just enough to add moisture and shine without pooling.

This chicken spinach olive oil bowl pairs beautifully with other light Mediterranean dinners like our Mediterranean One-Pan Chicken Dinner Bowl and follows the same clean principles recommended by Harvard Health for balanced, protein-forward meals.
